The KATANA™ 14Z L zirconia block is a zirconia CAD/CAM block for the fabrication of aesthetic full-contour zirconia restorations and bridge constructions. Thanks to its innovative multilayer structure, this zirconia block combines a natural colour gradient with a high mechanical strength of 763 MPa.
The extra-long version of the 14Z L block provides more space for designing and milling large restorations. This makes this version particularly suitable for the fabrication of bridges with 3 or more units and cantilever bridges.
The KATANA™ Zirconia Block 14Z L consists of four layers of zirconia with gradually transitioning shades. This creates a natural transition from cervical to incisal colour during milling, without the need for extensive individual staining of the restoration.
The multilayer technology provides a natural appearance and combines aesthetics with an efficient digital CAD/CAM workflow. This makes the KATANA™ 14Z L block an interesting choice for dentists and dental technicians who want to digitally fabricate larger zirconia restorations.
With a flexural strength of 763 MPa, the KATANA™ Zirconia Block provides a strong and reliable foundation for various dental restorations. Its mechanical properties also allow restorations to be designed relatively thin, contributing to a translucent and natural appearance.
The 14Z L version has a height of approximately 17.8 mm before sintering, a width of approximately 19.2 mm and an extra-long length of 40.0 mm. After sintering, the dimensions are approximately 14.2 × 15.4 × 32.0 mm.
Thanks to its extra length, the KATANA™ 14Z L provides more space for larger restorations than the standard 14Z. This version is specifically suitable for the fabrication of bridges with 4 or more units and cantilever bridges.
The KATANA™ Zirconia Block 14Z L is available in 14 natural shades, based on the VITA classical A1-D4™ shade system.
