The KATANA™ zirconia block 14Z consists of four zirconia layers with gradually transitioning shades. During milling, these differen layers create a natural transition from the cervical to the incisal area. This makes it possible to fabricate highly aesthetic restorations without a time-consuming or complicated staining process.
The multilayer technology combines a natural color gradient with translucency, making the KATANA™ block particularly suitable for restorations where both aesthetics and efficiency are important
With a flexural strength of 763 MPa, KATANA™ 14Z provides a strong and reliable foundation for durable restorations. Its mechanical properties also allow restorations to be designed relatively thin, contributing to a more translucent and natural appearance.
The 14Z version is designed for restorations with a crown height of up to approximately 14 mm. Before sintering, the block measures approximately 17.8 mm in height, 19.2 mm in width and 20.2 mm in length
The KATANA™ 14Z is alsvo available as the KATANA™ 14Z L, which has a length of 40 mm and is intended for bridgework.
The KATANA™ block 14Z is available in shades corresponding to the VITA classical A1-D4™ shade sytem:
