Lithium dislicate is a ceramic milling material specifcally developed for dental CAD/CAM systems. The material offers an excellent balance between strength and aesthetics, making it ideal for a wide range of restorations. Lithium disilicate is widely used or crowns, inlays, onlays and bridges.
One of the major advantages of lithium disilicate is that the blocks can be milled directly and are ready for use immediately after processing. No additional sintering step is required, unlike with some other ceramic materials. After milling, the restorations already have a high level of strength and an be placed directly. The aestehtic properties are excellent; the material provides a natural, translucent appearance that can be easily stained and customized.
