The Asiga LIFT trays — Liquid Interface Film Technology — are liquid material trays for the Asiga Ultra, based on a completely new layer technology. These material trays from LIFT™ maintain a thin, uncured layer of material on the surface of the film. This reduces the risk of scratches and damage caused by the force required to separate cured layers. The technology extends the lifespan of the tray and enables faster printing.
The LIFT UltraGloss variant is designed to provide printed objects with smooth, glossy surfaces straight out of the printer, delivering an even better finish than before. This improves the subsequent polishing process, reduces the amount of post-processing required, and in some cases may even eliminate the need for polishing altogether.
Reduced peel force
Because the film/resin interface remains liquid, each cured layer can separate more easily. This reduces stress on both the print and te film, resulting in lower peel forces with each layer.
Faster printing
The reduced peel force allows layers to be changed more quickly. Depending on the resin being used, print times can in some cases be reduced by up to 50%.
Longer tray lifespan
The liquid interface helps protect the film, extending the lifespan of the tray — up to approximately 10 liters of resin print volume according to Asiga. This figure is indicative and is not guaranteed.
Glossy, pre-polished finish
Ideal for applications where a smooth, clear, or glossy surface is important, such as transparent components, splints, night guards, and bite splints. The UltraGloss can also be used to achieve an enhanced gloss finish on dental models and prosthetics. In some cases, this can significantly reduce or even eliminate polishing as a final finishing step.
