Asiga Ultra Target Not Reached Error<\/strong><\/p>\n

The “Target Not Reached” error means that the build platform cannot reach the desired position. This can have several causes. The error appears to protect the build platform motor from damage if it is unable to reach the target position. To identify the cause of this error, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

Step 1 – Check the Glass Plate<\/strong><\/p>\n

Check that the basin glass is clean and free of scratches. Dirt or scratches can block or scatter the projector’s UV light, causing resin to cure in unwanted areas. This can prevent the build platform from moving properly.<\/p>\n

Step 2 – Check the Bottom of the Build Tray<\/strong><\/p>\n

Check the underside of the build tray for dirt or damage. Dirt or damage can prevent the resin from curing correctly, which may stop the build platform from reaching its correct position.<\/p>\n

Step 3- Check the Inside of the Build Tray<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inspect the inside of the build tray and the resin for any cured debris. Also check for scratches or other damage inside the build tray. Cured resin or scratches can block the build platform and prevent it from reachng the desired position, which can lead to the error message.<\/p>\n

Make sure the build tray is completely free of cured resin debris and damage.<\/p>\n

Step 4 – Check the Build Platform<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure the build platform is completely clean and free of resin. Residue from cured resin can prevent the platform from reaching the correct position.<\/p>\n

Step 5 – Check the Printer Calibration<\/strong><\/p>\n

If all the checks above are correct, verify the calibration of the printer. An incorrectly calibrated printer can also cause this error message.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Cleaning the Build Tray<\/b><\/p>\n

Starting a print when cured debris is present in the material can damage the build tray and casue the “Target Not Reached” error. Cured debris can occur when:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A part has failed to print correctly<\/li>\n
  2. A model breaks during the printing process<\/li>\n
  3. Resin in the material is exposed to light<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is recommended to check the bottom of the build tray for cured debris before every print. Wipe resin from the bottom of the tray with ha piece of cardboard (for example a business card). Any cured debris can be collected by exposing the entire build area to UV light from the projector.<\/p>\n

    This can be done using the following procedure:<\/p>\n

    1. Navigate to Tools > Clean Material Tray<\/p>\n

    2. The UV light source will automatically cure a rectangular area for 45 seconds.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    3. Press start to begin<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    4. A timer will be displayed while the machine is exposing the UV light.<\/p>\n

    5. When the procedure is finished, the printer will return to the previous menu.<\/p>\n

    6. Remove the buildtray from the printer.<\/p>\n

    7. Place a finger underneath the build tray at the corner of the cured rectangle. Your finger will support the film during the next step.<\/p>\n

    8. Use a piece of cardboard or plastic to slide under the edge of the cured rectangle and gently lift it off the film.<\/p>\n

    9. Remove the cured rectangle in one piece and dispose of it.<\/p>\n
