This can occur with all types of 3D printers. Below are several possible reasons why this may happen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/support.asiga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/delaminating2.jpg\" width=\"209\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/support.asiga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/delaminating.jpg\" width=\"211\" height=\"158\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Insufficient use of supports<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main cause of layer separation is the incorrect placement of print supports.<\/p>\n<p>When placing supports, it is important to properly support critical areas, such as overhangs. An overhang without support can lead to failed prints.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.asiga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Clipping-tool.gif\" alt=\"Clipping tool\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Always refer to the self-support angle in the support generation window if you are unsure whether an overhang has sufficient support.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/support.asiga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Support-Dialogue.jpg\" alt=\"Support Dialogue\" width=\"338\" height=\"203\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Laag materiaalniveau<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the material level is too low, layers may also separate. During the printing process, the printer attempts to compress the material to the desired layer thickness. This effect can be caused by contaminated optics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dirt on the glass of the resin<\/li>\n<li>A damaged build tray<\/li>\n<li>Debris in the resin tray<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the tray contains stains or cured resin, this will cause light scattering.
